Throughout My Family's History

This 880 acre farm has been passed from generation to generation.  460 acres of this land was given and granted to my Great Great Grandfather, James A. Wilson, by President James Buchanan on the first day of June, 1858.  My father, Felix Holliman, bought the adjoining farms throughout his adult life.   This property has a larger than life history best known and talked about by locals, as "The Strange Woods".  We invite you to come experience these "strange woods" for yourself.
We pride ourselves by being professional, honest, hardworking and friendly, and we like to think of ourselves as being loads of fun.   We run our hunting club by offering "daily" trophy whitetail and turkey hunts.   Pricing information is below.  We do not accept memberships.  But, you ask, Why hunting?  Well, let us explain:  Hunting is not just for "sport".  And, it is not about killing innocent animals.   Hunting benefits society and the environment, and this is excellent property to do just that. 5 Ways Hunting Benefits Society and the Environment

  • 1) Hunting supports conservation efforts. ...
  • 2) Hunting is a good source of nutrition. ...
  • 3) Hunting contributes to wildlife population management.
  • 4) Hunting stimulates the economy. ...
  • 5) Hunting helps prevent the spread of disease 10-28-2020.

For those of you that are against hunting for any reason whatsoever, we hope our site does not offend you.  We ask that you respect our beliefs as we respect yours.
